Su Er and Raymond's marriage doesn't seem ideal. It's hard for people to believe that a young and beautiful Chinese girl married an old and slovenly American man out of love. They're aware of that, too. So they try to have a child to change this dreary life. Raymond also tries to start a business again and proves his excellence. But things don't go well. Su Er becomes more and more depressed. Until the new neighbors moved in, they have a young man. This seems to bring some fresh excitement to Su Er's life.
